Tales from RhovanionBelow is my write-up of the third session of our ‘rebooted’ The One Ring: Adventures Over the Edge of the Wild campaign in which the Fellowship undertake a rescue before racing back to Hirtherd to warn the villagers of an impending attack.

This continues the first part of Studio 9’s Caran Gaur scenario (published in the free French RPG Magazine Le Maraudeur No. 8). We played this session back in July.

Tales from RhovanionAs you might have noticed, I’m making an effort to catch up with session write-ups for our ongoing The One Ring: Adventures Over the Edge of the Wild campaign.  Real life has a habit of getting in the way, so I’m making them a bit shorter, in the hopes that it will help me keep on top of them.

In this write-up of our second ‘reboot’ session, from back in June, Malaric, Grunehild and Grimald, befriend the Northmen of Hirtherd and help them repair their village defences.

Tales from Rhovanion – Session #I

Tales from RhovanionFour or five sessions into The One Ring: Adventures Over the Edge of the Wild campaign I was running, Colin (who played Oinarin) dropped out, so I took the opportunity to do a reboot with the remaining three characters (Malaric, Grunehild and Grimald). I moved the campaign west of Mirkwood, to their home turf as it were, and to a year or so earlier, so we could find out how two Beornings and a Woodman had come together in the first place.

In this write-up of the first session Malaric, Grunehild and Grimald meet and attempt to rescue a goatherd and his two children, who are being set upon by a pack of Wild Wolves.
